Friends Of Reds In Kenya

We have three formation houses in Kenya. The Orientation Year that is the first stage of our religious formation begins at Iruma- Meru &; Diocese. Here the students are introduced to consecrated life and the Spirituality of the Congregation among other religious elements. Currently we have 10 Brothers at this stage. Fr Francis Sila C.Ss.R is the OY Director.

 

The Second Stage is Philosophical Studies which takes three years at our Karen Formation House-Nairobi. Our Brothers Study at Consolata Institute of Philosophy. We have 12 Students at this stage. Fr Lewis Mutiso C.Ss.R is the Prefect of Students assisted by Fr Dominic Warukenya C.Ss.R who is the Socius.

 

The third stage is Novitiate where one is initiated into a particular Redemptorists way of life through intense prayer and interiority. The Noviate is in South Africa. We have Seven Novices at the moment. Fr Isaac Wanyoike C.Ss.R is the Socius.

 

The fourth stage is Theological Studies which takes four years at Utume-Salesian Theogicum-Nairobi. We have Fifteen Students at this stage, two from the Vice Province of Matildi-Congo, one from Mozambique and Twelve from Kenya.
